Justine Blau’s work explores the visual language of photography, its ubiquitous nature, its ‘claim to truth’ and its unique ability to fluctuate between fiction and reality. She is concerned with the West’s yearning for exoticism and foreignness, the nostalgic search for authentic experience and time travel, as well as the principle of identification and the acculturation of natural spaces. For 2 normalcy bias in Berlin, Justine Blau was supported by the Ministère de la Culture, de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche and the Fonds Culturel National of Luxemburg. www.justineblau.com / justineblau@hotmail.com The Circumference of the Cumanan Cactus 5 – Lambda print, 90x120cm The Circumference of the Cumanan Cactus 6 – Lambda print, 90x120cm 2 normalcy bias, Berlin Homo faber – video installation on 7 touchpads, 2011 (Paradise Valley, US, Bryan Peterson; Paradise Island, BAH, Marc Melzer; Gran Paradiso, I, Roberto Sconocchini;Paradise Valley, US, Kim Visser; Paradise Valley, US, S.
